I'm so happy cause today I found my friends

I hadn't really listened to music for a while and then I had a real urge over the weekend!  The main reason I've not been listening is that I dont have any decent speakers it's either through my laptop or tv and that really isn't good enough especially for the music I generally listen to with heavy bass which really doesn't come through on a laptop.  Also when you're brother makes music and a lot of your friends do and then go on and on about sound quality and they all have amazing sound systems you really learn the difference and once you know you really cant enjoy music without decent speakers.  I have headphones for my ipod which obviously helps but I went back to the music that I feel started to shape the person I am.

Before I really started listening to music I just went with what was popular but then I started exploring and I found I really felt music as well as just listening to it.  I love it when I song draws out emotion and you can really feel something :)

My teen years, like most peoples, were a mess of style fails and just generally not knowing who I am so just doing what I felt would help me fit in.  Then I found bands, mostly from the past and it helped with the teen angst and the start of my growth to the person I am and who ever I become :)

This band is the first one I remember falling in love with and being devistated at the same time at finding out the lead singing was no longer alive.  Still this didn't detract from me liking them since I like music for the music not for the person who made it.  To be honest I can rarely name anyone unless I actually know them especially famous people, it's terrible but I only have limited space in my brain!

Anyway here are a few images and songs that I love of the band that took my teen agnst to another level and helped shape who I am =)

Hope you're having a wonderful start to the week :)

Ah, wow, the good old days of Nirvana - I definitely remember listening to them as an angsty teenager and writing lyrics on my arms, haha! Hope you're well, xxx

Nirvana's great road trip music but I personally like coldplay the best! Their soft quite tones faded in with the background and leave you free to think; while still blocking out your brother's yackin.
