101............

.................posts!!!!!!!!!

So this is my 101 (now having the dilemma of whether to use the st or th suffix so I'm leaving it for you to decide which you prefer :) and I prefer th) now that that is over I can carry on =)  I wanted to do something 'special' since it is my 101th post but I didn't know what to do.  I've mentioned this so that's my 'special' thing ha!

Today I did the final session of the 3 workshops I've been doing at various schools.  It went amazingly =)  I got to explain to a class full of kids how the media is not always right when it comes to science.  One kid set this up so much that it was perfect I couldn't have planed it better!  It was about how a comet was reported to be heading for earth.  Said comet was at closest approach 38 million miles away which is 160 times further than the moon is from the earth!  So yeah that was a crazy headline.  Some are better it all depends on the source :)

The person I worked with today hadn't been into a school yet so they were a little nervous but when we'd finished they were beaming with delight at how good it was.  Imparting knowledge onto the next generation is an amazing feeling =)  Just to hear such different questions and be surprised at yourself for being able to answer them and their wide eyes as they're actually interested in what you're saying is so wonderfully unique.  I never thought I'd find a career I would actually be passionate about and it's so amazing to find it =)

I shall end my 101th post with a pic of my all time favourite childrens book characters :)

Oh yes and it's 10days till christmas and I've hardly bought any presents yet!  I have most of the end of this week to get it done so I'm sure I'll manage (as long as the weather doesn't put me off) also I'm will definately be using this time to catch up on blogs and replying to all the wonderfully lovely comments I've recieved recently =)  Thank you for them they have really lightened the grey days and put a big smile on my face :D
