Making myself proud
Today I did something which I didn't think I'd be able to do and with alot more confidence than I thought I could muster so I am very happy and proud of myself =) I stood up and gave my talk in front of a group of peers. I really didn't want to do it but my lecturer made me and I threw myself into it, I was still nervous and a little shakey but it went so much better than I ever imagined and now I'm filled with more confidence and cant wait to do it again and improve it =)
Another yayness for today is the fact that I got two parcels in the post =) I decided that a pair of boots would be a great investment for keeping my feet dry. I dont know what it is but if it's raining and even if I'm wearing something like my nikes it's guaranteed I will get wet feet. No more will this happen as I have some lovely comfy boots that I cant wait to wear and today is the perfect oportunity since it's pouring with rain. My other package was a hemp bag that I'm so pleased with. It's just right to go with most outfits, unless it's too dressed up but then I would choose one of my nicer bags anyway, it's practical and I wont have the annoyance of having it just one my shoulder as it's a lovely little satchel which I also cant wait to make use of =)
Tonight I'm off to another pub for a poetry night. It should be really interesting. I've never been to such a thing before, but I'm looking forward to the good company, good beer and hopefully something new and interesting to listen to :) Tonights poetry could really go either way, as in it could be terrible or it could be amazing. It's just a night where people come and read their own poems so it definately will be interesting. I never really written poems and I've never fully understood them so this'll be a learning experience for me and I love learning so it should be good and I get to wear my new boots and use my new bag =) I know I've already said that but I'm quite excited about the prospect.
