A little of me

I'm feeling quite anxious now that I've sent off my PGCE application.  Well my part is done just have to get a statement from my reference and then it'll be fully complete.  I really hope my personal statement is good enough.  I'll be so happy if I get onto a course next year, it means my life will be moving further towards my goal which would be amazing.  It'll be a lot of work but I'm actually looking forward to having a lot of work to do as I haven't had much for a while.


I'm really already excited about beginning that part of my life.  It'll mean I'll be able to plan holidays again!!!!! =)  That's one thing I truely miss going abroad.  Ever since I went round Europe for 5weeks on my one I've been longing to do something similar or at least visit new places.  The main reason I could afford to do that was because I was good with my student loan and saved it and then it went straight on my trip =)  Though it wasn't that much since I stayed in hostels and got a rail ticket for the month which was really useful.

It was such a learning experience for me.  I was so scared and apprehensive in the airport before flying out to my first destination but once I was on the plane I was filled with so much adrenaline and was just incredibly exited =)  I loved ever place I visited, some were less interesting as they had less to do but they were still wonderful places.  I would love to do it again with different places.  I met so many different people all with their own story and all eager to share their experiences.  I think I was lucky in a way as I was on my own since I didn't have any trouble with my things and no one seemed to bother me.  I did get some funny looks though lol  I had blue and black hair at the time and one Polish old lady thought I was Indian ha I'm whiter than white, well maybe not that pale but I've definately got no skin tone that would suggest I was Indian at least.

There are a few places, if not all of them, that I want to go back to.  Especially Paris since I was so gutted it was my second to last city before heading home and I got sun stroke which made me quite ill.  I learnt that when in a city and it's very hot and you're outside most of the day cover your head!!!!  You'd think I'd know to do this from years so experience getting sun burn in the UK!!!!!  I know that sounds crazy right?  I cant believe I've got sun burn in the UK either, but I do have Irish blood :)
