Weird and random

I got introduced to this site: necromance last night by a friend.  It has a large collection of weird sciencey things like animals and jars and scorpions in cellophane.  It's very random and not something I usually look at but I think my friends will be getting some presents from here :)  Obviously it'll have to go to someone who'll appreciate it because there are definately some people who wouldn't appreciate something like that.  Thankfully though alot of my friends would appreciate something from there so tis all good :)

On a less strange note :) I did some real work for once in a long time yesterday.  Well it wasn't work for money but it was something productive and worthwhile for my future :)  I'm volunteering for a project to get science back into schools.  I'll be doing talks on astrophysics in schools.  I'm really excited about doing this as it'll really help my confidense and I'll actually be able to stand in front of a class and talk and that'll greatly help for when I teach and also it'll look good on my application :)

I haven't totally decided on the area I'll specialise in, but I will hopefully be doing stars, just have to get the approval of the lecturer who's leading the group.  Once I know for sure I'll have to get on and start making slides for my talk so I shall probably have lots to post about it on here.  Plus writing it on here will give me another way of getting the information into my head and I'll be able to find the best way to say what I want to say :)

That's our sun, it looks pretty epic and awesome and I cant wait to talk about it and all other stars in our sky :)
