It's about time

I seem to have taken time out from the blogging world.  I just didn't really know what to post about.  I guess I felt my life just wasn't interesting enough to share at the moment given that it's been work, eat, sleep, work...... Not that fun or interesting.  Work has become a drag, just a couple of months and I'll be done with uni, I'm hoping for a job but you never know with things the way they are at the moment that dole I feel is calling me back much as I hate to admit it, but I have to exist some how!

It is the Easter holidays so I've had lots of free time to get my head sorted and enjoy the beautiful weather we've been having :)  Since
I live in Liverpool I feel it is customary to discuss the national.  I didn't place a bet since I didn't have the money to and on ladies day I took a 7.5mile walk along the beach and through the pine woods near Formby.  Five hours of walking around, two more than planned as we got a bit lost, has really taking it out of my feat they kill now! :(

I would like to thank the lovely and beautiful Laura at adaisychaindream for her wonderful giveaway which I won! You have no idea how happy this made me. It made my day and then the sun started shinning and then I found out other good news and it's the first time I've ever won anything! :)

Peace and love and happy things :) xx

Words

My posting has become very few and far between.  It's mostly because I have a mountain of paper work to get done, an essay to write and lots of other teacher stuff to sort out!  I feel so grown up!  At the same time there has been part of me that has shied away from the blog world.  For reasons of insecurity.  Seeing all you beautiful people posting perfect pictures of yourself in lovely clothes showing your individuality.  I have never been afraid of individuality, in fact I think it's the only thing I've always embraced and accepted about myself.  Even my name which I think is completely unique, though a point I will have difficulty proving to you since I'm not really willing to put my full name on my blog but you'll just have to trust me on that one :)

There is a little voice in my head screaming out to be photographed and put on the blog.  It's something I've done perhaps a handful of times and each time I just feel so embarrassed when I have done it I just cant bring myself to do it again for a long time.  Which is ridiculous!  Right now I wouldn't want to show off what I've been wearing as I've reverted back to my student ways of hoodies, baggy trousers, knitted beret and vans.  Picture your stereotypical hippie-esque student if you would :)  Which really isn't making my case in showing that I'm 'different' ha!

This is the part where I would state that I'll try to make more of an effort to comment on blogs and post more but there is no try only do and do not :)  Sorry my geekiness escapes from time to time.  I do live by this though, the mind is a powerful thing if you believe you can do something you can do it of course it has to be in the bounds dictated by reality, but still a belief in yourself and what you can do can take you a long long way :)

Right back to the 3500 word essay that's on 900 words so far and is in by Thursday!  Any good thoughts on the role and importance of practical work in learning science are very welcome ;)

And just to live up to being British, it's been such a beautiful spring day today such a shame I've had to spend most of it inside in front of my laptop!

It's seven fifteen!

First day of my holiday I came home after a couple of pints and pretty much fell asleep.  Being continuously woken up every few hours though is not fun and makes for a very angry Shibby! :(  Just cant believe the first day of my holiday and I'm awake so damn early! Bah!

I decided to make the most of being awake by online shopping/browsing :)  Always a good use of time.  Especially when I have an interview on Tuesday for a teaching job in a very posh school and I've no idea what to wear.  Dressing smart is still something I'm getting used to but I'm going to have to be suited and booted for this interview.  I have plenty of smart trousers but I don't own one single jacket.
Topshop
This is a lovely olive colour but I do feel most comfortable in my favourite colour of blue, it is still in the maybe pile :)

Vero Moda
Just the idea of owning a tweed jacket excites me :)  This is definitely on the maybe/yes pile :)

Next.
These three are lovely and I shall be paying next a visit to try them on :)

I shall leave you with these as I am taking a break for a brew and some food :)

If you have any good advice on good interview clothing please let me know as anything at all would be amazingly helpful :)
