two free meals =)

Yesterday I did something that a year ago I would have said never would occur, I went for lunch with my mother!!!  Now this may sound strange to most of you, but I dont have the best relationship with her so for me this was a huge deal.

 

I dont think I've ever gotten along with her she's very difficult to get along with and she lies about a lot of things, which makes it even harder to be around.  I got an email from her asking if I wanted to meet up for lunch and I was apprehensive to even respond at first but then I thought about how I'd been over the weekend and how good things have been going I didn't see any harm.  I mean we both won as I got a free lunch and she got to see me so no harm done =)  I am really impressed with how much I've 'grown up' these past few months and it's a good feeling :)  We went to a lovely french restaurant for lunch, I'd never been before but I'm definately going again it was delicious and the service was amazingly good =)

I got a lot of new books and a new laptop too so yay!!!!  Dont worry I'm not spoilt they were for my birthday!  I really needed a new laptop my other one quite hold itself up any more :(  I'm very sad to see it on it's last legs it's been very good to me and I've loved it well but I have to move on!  ha!  I did tell it yesterday that it's still my favourite =)  This may sound very strange but having a computer and more importantly having access to the internet is very very important to me so I look after my laptops and make them feel loved they're less likely to be temperamental with you too!

 

Last night the bf's parents took us out for a lovely meal at an itallian.  He's gone to CERN today for two weeks for his masters project.  CERN is on the border between France and Switzerland and he's in the Switzerland part, it's a huge particle accelerator and the university has a part of it that they share with I would presume other univerisities and they actually built part of the detector at the university, which is really cool!!!!!  Sorry geeky physics self over :)  If you want to know more about CERN google is always your friend =)

I'm really going to miss him as two weeks is a long time, but I have a lot on and he'll be working away/snowboarding so it should go by quickly.  I am pretty jealous though.  He gets to put really awesome work on his cv and basically gets to have fun and they are right by the mountains so he gets to go snowboarding too!!!!!  He was an excited little kid this morning whilst he was packing, was very cute :)

For now thought I'm going to play around with my laptop some more and enjoy the quiet and I have two magazines to go through =) (treated myself)  Think lots of meditation is going to be done these two weeks =)
