The counting game
Age is starting to feel like a counting game, each year you add 1 to your total until the number reaches its end. You never know what that age may be. That's quite a scary thought, but it is the way of life. Some people pass way before they should and some people live on past what they should. Celebrating age is now starting to feel weird to me. What is there to celebrate? I of course love a party and there's no good reason not to have a party, but to celebrate the passage of time is a little strange.
Time isn't even a real thing. It is a value which we have made up to put order and structure in our day. The days would be the same whether we kept time or not. I guess though that it was something that occured as people were watching the passage of the sun through the sky and watching the shadow created change with the movement of the sun. It would have felt amazing to be someone who had the epiphany of putting shadows and light together. It wont have just been known it will have had to be learnt and figuring out something so simple yet at the time it would have been so complex must have felt overwhelming.
Today I've had a couple of hours to myself whilst my bf is taken to buy a laptop by his parents. So I've been making his card :) It's only a simple thing with a hand draw butterfly on the front but it's the thought that count. I was trying to figure out what to write inside and decided to post. I haven't finalised what I'm writing yet but I wont be posting it as it'll be very personal and not something I wish to share with anyone but him :)
I'm having trouble concentrating at the moment though as the cathedral bells are going off. I live in the shadow of the anglican cathedral and the catholic cathedral is just accross the way. So the bells become incredibly irritating especially on a sunday morning when you have a hangover. When living in town it's pretty hard not to be near one of the cathedrals since they are huge buildings. Makes for a nice view that no one else except the other people in this building has. I shall post pics of the view when I decide to start playing with my camera again.
My bf got an early present from his bro, he got 2dvd's. One's the pursuit of happiness a film with Will Smith that I've not seen, but Will Smith is good so it should be good. And the other is series one of Outnumber an awesomely good BBC series about a family, it's so good and I recogmend you watch it :)
Now to finish the card as he'll be back soon.
